Turkish giants Galatasaray look set to land their second big-name signing of the January transfer window after confirming they are in negotiations to sign Didier Drogba.
But with the Chinese season having finished two months ago, Drogba has been linked with a host of top European clubs, including Juventus, who now look set to sign former Chelsea and Shenhua teammate Nicolas Anelka instead.“Drogba is a world-class player,” Galatasaray assistant coach Hasan Sas said on Sunday. “I know that our board is in negotiations. There should be some clarifications in one or two days, but what we know is that there are some positive unfoldings.”
Galatasaray signed Dutch playmaker Wesley Sneijder earlier in the week.
