ISLAMABAD – The Interior Ministry on Wednesday issued notification promoting 10 officers of Islamabad police to next grades.According to notification, six deputy superintends have been promoted to the rank of superintend of police (SP) and four inspectors to the rank of DSP.Those DSPs, who have been promoted to the rank of SP are include Jamil Hashmi, Rafaqat Hussain, Mahr Yar Muhammad, Nightat Mujtaba and Gulfam Nasir.Whereas, four inspectors, who have been promoted to to next grade of DSP are included Muhammad Hussain Lasi, Bashir Noon, Zilla Shah and Aurangzab Khan.Last month, department promotion committee headed by additional secretary interior Najeebullah Khan with Chief Commissioner, Islamabad Tariq Pirzada (member) and IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan (member) had recommended promotion of the said officers.Meanwhile on Wednesday, senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Headquarters on Wednesday suspended 6 police officials for not complying his order. The SP Headquarters, Yousuf Malik, had directed the said police officials for accomplishment of bomb disposal squads’ advance course, however, said officials ignored SSP’s order.On this, SSP on Wednesday suspended them for not complying his order, which is a violation of police rules. The suspended cops include 2 sub-inspector, 2 head constables and 2 ASIs.
