Manchester City are plotting a summer rain for Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez
The Chilean winger has struggled for form at the Nou Camp and the La Liga leaders would be prepared to sell if they can recoup the £25 million they paid for him in 2011.
Sanchez has only hit 5 goals this term and has failed to build on his impressive debut season at the club which saw him net 15 times. However, along with City, he is also believed to be on the radar of Liverpool and Arsenal.A move to the Etihad however would see him link up with former team-mate Yaya Toure, who looks set to stay at the club despite the recent reports linking him with a summer move.
His arrival would spark fresh doubts over the future of Samir Nasri, who was blasted by Roberto Mancini last month and accused of only putting in “50% effort” for the club.Meanwhile, City continue to be linked with Atletico Madrid’s prolific forward Radamel Falcao, who is understood to top Mancini’s summer transfer wish list. The Colombian goal-machine has smashed 27 goals in 31 appearances for the La Liga outfit this term and is widely considered one of Europe’s finest talents.
