Position: Customer Solutions Manager
Location: Home Based, national coverage
Salary: Circa £40k plus car
ROLE:
DHL are now seeking a Customer Solutions Manager to work for their NHS Supply Chain. The role will be part of team who provide a differentiated service to customers and must position NHS Supply chains as an expert in supply Chain services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Undertake business reviews within NHS Trusts and offer improvement and strategic advice around supply chain.
b) Identification of and support the development of new services NHS SC should develop to enhance its customer offer. Work cross functionally within the BU and with other DHL Development Groups to engineer best in class solutions and offerings.
c) Actively enable growth through specialised customer activity. Using SC Consulting or visioning processes, Develop Solutions for NHS and other clients, ensure such proposals offer efficiencies and savings and that these contribute to NHS savings targets.
d) Develop effective strategies and tactics which position NHS SC as a provider of choice to their customer base, including changing customer perception.
e) Ownership of personal sales growth to ensure delivery & activity is accurately reported and visible.
e) Work with NHS SC Sales, Commercial Management, Procurement and other BU’s (GF, Express) to leverage DHL’s supply chain offering across all their accounts.
f) Work with the operational teams in line with customer expectations & to ensure effective implementation.
g) Continued development of their product and delivery in line with their capability.
h) Using Depict or PRINCE 2 methodology creating project plans and maintaining project administration documents.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Previous supply chain management or general logistics experience, with business development experience.
b) Experience of project management and understanding of change management
c) Understands the impact of market trends on growth plans and anticipates strategic opportunities. Fully understands and leverages the organisations capability to deliver Supply Chain services and solutions.
d) Knows what information is required and who to involve ensuring that decisions are made in the context of the overall business. Manages complexity and uses sound judgement in evaluating and decision making, applying a broad knowledge and experience.
e) Cultural awareness and able to operate at all levels with own and customers organisation, encourages customers to talk freely in determining their supply chain problems.
f) Has presence and credibility within the industry, with a thorough knowledge of history, customers and factors affecting the Healthcare sector and translates this into innovative solutions for the customer and NHS SC / DHL.
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Degree preferably, CIPS or Logistics Professional Qualifications an advantage.
