The Director, Global Market Access Excellence will support the Pricing and Market Access function through the design, leadership and implementation of Market Access projects enhancing efficiency & best practices, building a knowledge center and market access intelligence, developing market access processes, facilitating internal communication as well as fostering the Celgene worldwide market access community of practices.
Responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to, the following:
Global Market Access Project Leadership
• Lead global projects related to worldwide market access landscape and strategic trends analysis, competitive intelligence and benchmarking analysis of market access practices on a worldwide basis
• Provide global insights to the global market access community by driving the development of a knowledge center of excellence including structured pricing and market access databases
• Enhance internal systems to provide payers decisions making process and HTA agencies appraisal competitive analysis to the franchises and regional teams in order to form best market access strategy decisions
• Lead Global Pricing & Market Access non franchise specific projects as assigned
Market Access Community of Practices
• Lead the development of the Global Market Access Network (GMAN) worldwide that will provide Market Access web based resources portal for the worldwide Celgene market access community of practices. Foster internal communication, best practices sharing and internal alignment
• In close collaboration with the VP, Global Pricing and Market Access, coordinate the Market Access Leadership Team forum (MALT) including regional stakeholder input, pre-read materials & actions items
• Coordinate the planning of Global Pricing & Market Access function related activities
• Represent Global Pricing and Market Access in the coordination of non franchise specific programs/activities with other key functional key stakeholders (Regional Market Access Heads, Global Marketing, Medical Affairs , Corporate Affairs, Finance, Legal, technical Operations… counterparts).
Efficiency and Process Support
• In close collaboration with Regional and Functional counterparts, responsible for regular assessment of the Celgene’s global market access capabilities using diagnostic, internal survey, external feedback and benchmark analysis
• Responsible for the design and implementation of global market access processes to support best practices and efficiency
• Develop and lead global best practices sharing sessions to leverage Celgene pricing and market access internal expertise around the world
Market Access competencies & Capabilities Development Support
• In close collaboration with the HR Business partners, support the global franchises Market Access leads and Regional Market Access heads, in the continuous efforts to build a best-in class organization through core skills, capabilities, competencies development programs
Skills/Knowledge Required:
• BS/BA, required. MBA, MS or other advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry or for a vendor is required with at least 5 years project management, market access, competitive intelligence, business intelligence, market research or product marketing experience.
• Proven experience of successful project leader or manager role at regional or Corporate level is required
• Demonstrated experience in developing & implementing state of the art planning processes or best practices sharing in a multi-national environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of state of the art pricing, market access best practices within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven track record in matrix functions exerting influence to achieve results rather than counting on organizational authority & proven ability to navigate cross functionally
• Demonstrated initiative, creativity, strategic capabilities, and ability to work effectively in complex, rapidly changing environments
• Self starter and high level of autonomy
• Strong “can-do” and solution oriented attitude
• High level of flexibility while remaining results and vision focus
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Experience in delivering complex messages to various internal and external customers with a track record of effective and influential presentations.
• Advanced PC skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel software and Web based tools.
• Ability to travel 10-15% domestic and/international
