Chelsea youngsters Mario Pasalic and Kenneth Omeruo have both agreed loan deals away from Stamford Bridge.
Croatia under-21 midfielder Pasalic, who only joined the Blues this month from Hadjuk Split, will spend next season at La Liga outfit Elche.
Nigeria World Cup star Omeruo, 20, is to rejoin Middlesbrough, having played 14 times for the Championship club at the back end of last season.
The moves will allow the pair to continue their development with more regular first-team football.
Pasalic, 19, narrowly missed out on Croatia’s final World Cup squad, having been named in the provisional 30-man list by boss Niko Kovac.
His new club Elche avoided relegation from La Liga by one point last season, although they did hold Barcelona to a goalless draw.
Omeruo, who started every game of Nigeria’s run to the World Cup round of 16, joined in 2012 from Standard Liege and has also spent time on loan at Dutch club ADO Den Haag.
He recently signed a new deal that keeps him at Chelsea until 2018.
