Chelsea Closing in on £40m bid for Edinson Cavani; Raf Honigstein has his doubts [ESPN Video]

70077.3 Chelsea weighing up £40m bid for Edinson Cavani; Raf Honigstein has his doubts [ESPN Video]Miguel Delaney writes for ESPN that Chelsea are weighing up a bid for PSG’s Edinson Cavani.
Delaney claims that Chelsea have been quoted £40m for the Uruguayan striker, who it’s believed is open to a move to the Londoners, despite recent public declarations to the contrary, insisting he’s happy at Paris.
Though already under serious pressure regarding UEFA’s new Financial Fairplay rules, and already exceeding the quota for foreign players over the age of 21, Chelsea are naturally concerned about the obstacles involved.
Speaking on ESPN FC, Rafael Honigstein expressed skepticism around any potential move, highlighting the fact that Chelsea have already brought in Diego Costa, so would they pay that kind of money and wages for a player not even guaranteed a starting place?
With Financial Fairplay also a big factor, Honigstein says he has his doubts.
