Scholarship 2014: Kaduna State Government Overseas Scholarship Award for 2014/2015

LATEST information reaching our news desk, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency, Dr. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero (Dallatun Zazzau) has recently approved the establishment of an overseas scholarship scheme with the sole aim of the following:

• Enhancing human capital development,
• Job creation.
• General development of the State.

The scholarship scheme is aimed at raising the skills and competencies of Indigenes of Kaduna State in some critical areas of the following:

• Medical sciences,
• Engineering,
• Applied Science,
• Natural sciences.

SO in pursuance of this, applications are all invited from suitably qualified candidates of Kaduna State indigenes for selection in the 2014/2015 overseas scholarship programme.

A. Fields of Study

Postgraduate: (Ph.D and MS.c) in the following areas:

Medical Sciences
Engineering
Natural and Applied Sciences

B. Undergraduate:

MBBS

Requirements from Applicants For The Kaduna State Award of Scholarship:

Postgraduate Scholarship at Ph.D

Level: Applicants must hold a Masters Degree and must not be above 40 years of age.
Postgraduate Scholarship at MS.c

Level: All applicants must hold first Degree with minimum of 2nd Class (Honours) or equivalent and must not be above 35 years of age.

C. Undergraduate (MBBS):

All applicants must possess minimum entry requirement applicable for MBBS programme in a recognized university.

General Requirements:

1. All candidate must be an indigene of Kaduna State,  applicants from other states will not be accepted.
For Postgraduate programmes, candidate must possess NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.
