Aborted N5,000 note

The information we read in newspapers and watch on television how huge amounts of naira were carried about by politicians before and during the 2015 general elections are benumbing.

                                

I salute Nigerian citizens who rose up to fight against the planned N5,000 denomination in 2012.

If the Federal Government and the Central Bank of Nigeria had succeeded in printing the denomination, it would have been very easy for them to carry lots of money about.

But I wonder why the Central Bank Governor of the time, now the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi 11, who claimed to be prudent was part of the plan!
