EFCC quizzes two Federal High Court judges

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has tested two Federal Hugh Court Judges in Lagos.

The judges are Mohammed Nasir Yunusa and Hyeladzira Ajiya Nganjiwa.

A top agent of the commission told our journalist that the judges reported at the Lagos Office of the EFCC to respect solicitations reached out to them.

The source said the commission is examining the judges regarding charge of pay off and IRS evasion.

It was expressed that two attorneys had as of now been charged in court regarding the matter.

It was expressed that the judges were being 'went to" by agents responsible for the matter.

An agent of the commission said the judges arrived the Lagos office of the commission by 10:05am.

The source said the judges were welcomed as a consequence of charge of gift found in a continuous case in which two legal counselors have been summoned in court.

The two legal counselors who were charged in court are Rickey Tarfa (SAN) and Joseph Nwobike (SAN).

The source said, "The judges touched base at the Commission's Lagos Office around 10:05am on Monday taking after a welcome letter the EFCC stretched out to them.

"Their welcome is continuation of the pay off and tax evasion affirmations the commission found amid examination in a continuous case in which two senior legal counselors have as of now been charged in court."

The Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, had said in an announcement on Thursday that the commission was exploring eight judges and two recorders.

He said a portion of the judges who had cases to answer would soon show up in court to guard assertions against them.

Uwujaren said one out of the seven judges captured by the Department of State Service was among those being explored by the commission.
