Liverpool weren't good enough against Oldham

Brendan Rodgers conceded that his side didn’t deserve to win their fourth round FA Cup tie against Oldham, which they lost 3-1.He said: “It’s not just about playing for Liverpool. You’ve got to be able to be competitive and be part of a group that is going to compete for trophies.”Liverpool drew level through Luis Suarez but by the time Steven Gerrard and Stewart Downing joined the fray it was too late, something the Northern Irish manager commented on.Rodgers continued: “If you are going to be able to win competitions you need to go to places like Oldham and win.”
