The Premier League’s best midfield

                                Bale Cazorla Arsenal Spurs

Explosive and exciting; the way he burns down the left wing, like a cannon going off. Gareth Bale has made a huge impact for Totttenham, with many linking him with a transfer to Real Madrid, a move that would be disastrous when he is a key piece of a fantastic Spurs midfield.New addition, Lewis Holtby is an exciting capture, the man signed from Schalke was arguably one of the best creative midfielders in the Bundesliga. His talents should excel in the Premier League, he’s such an exciting addition to the squad, a challenge for next seasons title doesn’t seem like too much of a pipe dream with such a talent in the squad. Andre Villas Boas spoke of his delight at Holtby’s instant impact:
At the moment he’s playing fantastically well. Hopefully we will see him progress.
Holtby is far from the finished article, only 22 he still has far to go in his development.
It isn’t only the left that is enjoying great excitement, the right is also in on the act. Aaron Lennon is having his best season to date, his performance against United was full of exciting lung bursting runs. While United equated for Bale, they forgot the effectiveness of Aaron Lennon. Due to his performances he deservedly earned a place back in the England squad.

The Tottenham midfield has strength in depth, the loss of Sandro hasn’t seemed too devastating with the return of Scott Parker. Parker missed the early part of the season and his return gives the midfield a slice of classic English edge. As well as strength in depth, it is also versatile, Clint Dempsey has been successful so far in his stint at Tottenham, drifting in between the forward line and midfield. He is working as effectively as anticipated. Moussa Dembele adds something extra to the midfield, his graft in creating and defending can be marvelled at. His influence can be shown in how much Fulham have suffered his loss.

Despite being filled with quality, the Spurs midfield can still strengthen. Joao Moutinho has regularly been linked with joining the North London, if they were to get the Portuguese international, he would add even more to the centre of the park. His controlling nature makes him an ideal fit for the Premier League.
The midfield certainly has a future, Tom Carroll seems an exciting prospect, regularly only featuring in Europa League games, his style seems versatile and very exciting. A perfect fit for a modern midfielder. Jake Livermore has yet to have run in the Tottenham side, the man who has one cap for England could be the man to call on if the likes of Dembele or Holtby suffer injuries.

Tottenham could challenge for the Premier League in future seasons, their manager: a young, ambitious manager in Andre Villas Boas. He is still a student of the game, developing his tactical knowhow game by game. The midfield can devastate any in the Premier League, the addition of a striker would make a massive difference. For any top European strikers looking for a move to the Premier League, Spurs is an ideal destination.
