Striker denies move to Chelsea

Former Chelsea transfer target Hulk has claimed reports linking him with a move from Zenit St Petersburg to the Premier League are false, after rumours suggested the striker had already grown disillusioned with life in Russia.

Hulk was only signed by the Russian club last summer but has, according to the Metro, struggled to settle at the club as some the clubs fans made it clear they were not happy about their team signing black players.

Chelsea have been linked with the star in previous years when he was at Porto and have admired him ever since, but have failed to capture his signature.
They were alerted of the player’s potential availability last week, but the Brazilian has dismissed speculation, insisting he is happy at his current club having scored three goals in 11 league games.

Satisfied
In a recent interview, Hulk added, as reported by Metro: “I am satisfied with my career at Zenit, I’m giving my best to the shirt and I have no intention of leaving Russia.”
“I have a long contract and what happened in the past is now gone,” the 26-year old added.
The probable price tag of £45million may be enough to put off the Blues if the striker were to become available this summer, as the London based side are believed to be keen on adding Atletico Madrid star Radamel Falcao to their ranks, the newspaper claims.
