Terry Refused The Chelsea Captain’s Armband

Back in January, we pointed out how John Terry refused the Chelsea captain’s armband from his great mate Frank Lampard when he came on during Chelsea’s romp at Stoke.

Conventional football wisdom has it that John Terry is egotistical and is always eager for attention and in love with being captain of Chelsea.
This may or may not be true but for the second time this season, on Sunday against West Ham, John Terry refused the offer of the Chelsea captain’s armband from Frank Lampard.
JT made his entrance during the 2-1 win over West Ham on Sunday in the 78th minute as a replacement for David Luiz.
And, as you can see on the GIF below, rejected Lampard’s overture to hand him the armband with a quick: “no Frank, you keep it.”
