Bayern Munich v Juventus preview, team news and betting advice

Bayern Munich Bayern Munich entertain Juventus in the first leg of the Champions League quarter final tie tonight with kick off at 7:45pm.

This is the pick of the quarter final ties with both sides looking seriously likely to win the competition and you can bet on there being goals tonight.Munich cruised to a 9-2 demolition of Hamburg in the Bundesliga at the weekend, and will be slight favourites heading into the game. Juventus are not short on goals themselves as they crushed Celtic in the last round.Team News: Bayern Munich could welcome back Jerome Boateng and Bastian Schweinsteiger, who both missed the 2-0 second-leg defeat to Arsenal.

However, Javi Martinez is suspended for the clash, which means Luiz Gustavo should replace the Spaniard. Long-term absentee Holger Badstuber remains sidelined with ruptured knee ligaments.
Mirko Vucinic is recovering from flu, which means Fabio Quagliarella and Alessandro Matri are likely to be Conte`s preferred striking partnership, although Vucinic could be fit to feature.

Players to watch: It would be easy to say that Pirlo is the only man to watch, but away from home I expect the Italian to have a quiet game. Schweinsteiger is experienced enough to stop the former Milan man from passing around Munich all night. Mario Gomez is unlikely to start so watch out for Mario Mandzukic up front for the Bavarians. He is 7/2 to score first with Boylesports.com. Claudio Pizarro hit a hattrick at the weekend for Bayern, but I would be surprised if he starts.

Prediction: It will start out as a cagy affair but once they get into the swing of things it should become an open game. There won’t be as many goals as there was at the weekend for Bayern, but I do expect them to win. A 2-1 Munich win is 7/1 with Boylesports.com

Bayern Munich to be winning at half time and win at full time is 6/4 with Boylesports.com
