Breaking News: UNILAG Temporarily Shut Down Due to Students Challenge!
According to the report, the students of UNILAG this morning at about 7:00 am interrupted movements of vehicles in and outside the school premises/campus in their protest against the late course registration fee imposed by the school authority.
One of the student who spoke with newsmen said, the management has imposed N25,000.00 (Twenty Five thousand naira) only, on them for late registration of courses which to the students is totally not right, it is unacceptable.
The protesting students of the Institution claimed the management shut the school official portal down against registration and began demanding for N10,000.00, (Ten thousand naira) which again increased to N15,000 and then N20,000 progressively in the last few days.
According to one of the protesting students, poor technical capability of students’ portal and the attitude of the personnel at the institution’s IT center caused delay in students registration for a new semester.
All students of Unilag who are not in school should take note.
