I have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Test Manager to work for one of the leading Medical Device and Diagnostic companies based in Cambridge. This will be a minimum of a 3 month contract with a possibility of an extension.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Test Manager you will be responsible for managing the verification testing of the mechanical aspects of a disposable diagnostic product. The successful candidate will be reporting into the R&D programme Manager.

*Create and manage the day to day test schedule
*Manage the inventory for the test program
*Carry out the archiving of tested devices and old stock
*Support the test program wherever necessary e.g. preparing documentation for test engineers, helping out with testing, document management.
The role requires a high level of self-motivation and clarity of thinking:
*Working with instrumentation and disposable design and test engineers to test a diagnostic product against detailed requirement specifications.
*Working with the project manager to plan and organize test work effectively
The successful Test Manager will have;
*Minimum of a degree in a technical or scientific discipline
*Significant hands-on experience in management of test programs of consumer and / or medical products
*Excellent skills in MS Office applications, particularly MS Word and MS Excel
*Previous experience with MS Project is an advantage
*Previous experience of working in regulated industries such as healthcare is an advantage
*Strong attention to detail
*Ability to maintain concentration and focus on tasks until completely finished
*Ability to multi-task within the laboratory, comfortable with working on several problems in parallel
*Quick to learn and adapt as new problems arise and new tasks are identified during the verification testing
