An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Utilities Technician to join a leading Biopharmaceutical organisation based in Slough.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Utilities Technician will provide planned maintenance (Mechanical and Electrical), troubleshooting and breakdown response for Utilities systems, such as Boilers, De-Ionised and Water for Injections Systems, Compressed air and Site Electrical Systems in order to support Manufacturing and Development Operations. The role will ensure scheduled work is carried out in a timely manner with the ability to prioritise unplanned work to minimise downtime and give minimal disruption to scheduled work.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Utilities Technician will work as part of the maintenance team to ensure:-

1. Ensure plant and equipment conforms to internal (Local and Group) and external standards (HSE, Insurers, GMP) whilst optimising equipment availability. Maintaining safe equipment through safe working practices.

2. Deliver effective maintenance through a sound technical background, flexible working approach, good communication and proven troubleshooting skills

3. Responsible for front line support and prompt resolution for equipment maintenance breakdowns and repairs. Planned and unplanned maintenance is carried out correctly first time. Support initiative to continuously improve engineering systems and manufacturing process.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in this role the Utilities Technician will be qualified with an NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or Time Served Apprenticeship (Multi-skilled). Candidates must have electrical experience working within a maintenance environment and a recognised electrical qualification, i.e. 17th Edition. The Utilities Technician must be willing to participate in a day shift rota and call-out system.
