WHEN Cara Delevingne was asked to collaborate with DKNY to design a "sick" special-edition range, we knew it would be special. 

The unconventional supermodel decided to try something a little bit different by hand-picking the faces of her 15 piece capsule collection.

And what better way to choose her models than by inviting the world of Instagram to enter one very special competition? 

Back in June, the Victoria's Secret Angel launched the contest (on Instagram, of course), with a snap of herself holding a piece of paper that read: "#CARAWANTSYOU."

She told her followers: "Guys! So, I created a sick special-edition collection with @donnakarandkny coming later this year, and I WANT YOU to be in the campaign with me! 

"I'm CASTING for a few lucky fans to come to New York City and model my new #DKNY collection in a special photo shoot with me. 

"To enter, just post a pic of yourself looking fresh to your Instagram and tag #CaraD4DKNY and #CaraWantsYou between now and 16 June."

As you can probably imagine, thousands entered, but Cara whittled them down and yesterday announced the very lucky winners by introducing them one by one…on Instargam. 

After posing for a quirky selfie with each model, she shared a group shot captioned: "@donnakarandkny with my new crew @badtatts @lioneon @queenlilakoi @jalenthealien @sehirphotographer @askulloffoxes #CARAD4DKNY #carawantsyou @donnakarandkny."

The 15-piece collection, that is "authentically equal parts Cara’s individual quirk and DKNY’s urban edge", will launch in October.
