ENGINEERING RESEARCH SCIENTIST
NIAB is an independent plant science research organisation in Cambridge focusing on crop variety evaluation, agronomy and genetics research. We are continually seeking new talent to strengthen our position as providers of an unrivalled source of research expertise and technical services along the length of the crop production pipeline.
The Spray Applications Unit is an integral part of NIAB’s agronomy research and service activities. Currently based at Silsoe in Bedfordshire, the Unit has unique world class research capabilities in effective spray application techniques, reduction of environmental impacts and development of precision agriculture methods.
We are expanding and investing in these functions and are seeking a senior scientist to manage and develop projects at the interface of engineering and agronomy. The role will interact with scientists across the organisation and will play a major part in project development as well as supporting the delivery of current programmes at the Unit. Applicants should have a PhD and proven relevant experience.
