Chelsea are looking to start
their season strongly by confirming the signings of youngsters, with
Southampton’s Luke Shaw ready to join the Blues along with Brazilian
right back Wallace and Germany international Andre Schurrle, reports Reliable Click.
The left back, who is rated at 10 million pounds, will be signed as a long term replacement for the aging Ashley Cole, and although no approach has been made for the seventeen year old, Southampton will have to fight to keep such a highly rated player.
The Blues are also ready to confirm the imminent arrival of the ‘Special One’ Jose Mourinho. It is reported that owner Roman Abramovich is not keen to pay compensation to the Spanish club for the manager, which could amount to 10 million pounds. However, it is expected that the matter will soon be sorted out, and Mourinho could soon join the club along with his assistant Aitor Karanka and goalkeeping coach Silvino Louro.
The management at Stamford Bridge is also looking at the signing of two marquee players this summer, a striker and a midfielder, and could push for Atletico Madrid’s Colombian superstar Radamel Falcao. However, the club is reluctant to meet the 50 million pounds buy-out clause, which could see the player move to French outfit Monaco or local rivals Manchester City instead.
