Liverpool Set To Move For Richards

Liverpool Set To Move For Richards

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is lining up a deal for Manchester City defender Micah Richards.

Richards has found himself down the pecking order at the Etihad and is desperate to secure a move away from the club to secure first-team football.

According to the Mirror, Manchester City are now prepared to sell the 26-year-old, who Rodgers believes he may be able to capture in a cut-price deal.

Richards only has 12 months remaining on his City contract, and finds himself behind Pablo Zabaleta in the pecking order.

Manuel Pellegrini has also added former Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna to his ranks, further limiting Richards playing time.

The paper believes that it is Richard’s versatility that has attracted Rodgers’ interest, and he could make a move for the man who has been capped 13 times by England in the coming days.

Arsenal have also been linked with a move for Richards, who is said to be keen on the opportunity to once again play Champions League football.
