The agent of Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira has claimed that his client has not been in talks with Arsenal or Chelsea.
The World Cup winning midfielder, who missed Sunday’s final after injuring himself in the warm-up, has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates this summer, with some claiming that a £23m deal had already been agreed.
But, according to the Express, Khedira’s agent Jorg Neubauer has confirmed that they are not in talks with the London duo.
He said: “We are not in talks with Arsenal. I don't think a fee can have been agreed, otherwise I would have been told.
"When a club have an interest I am sure they will call me and we will speak about things. The same goes for Chelsea. We are talking to Real Madrid but nothing has been decided."
Khedira only has one-year remaining on his current deal at the Bernabeu, and his position in the team is now up in the air after Real completed the signing of his Germany team-mate Toni Kroos.
Kroos completed his £24m move to Spain today, and his arrival could signal the end of Khedira’s time in La Liga.
Arsene Wenger is a keen admirer of the 27-year-old, and is keen to bring the midfielder to the Emirates.
