AC Milan are set to rival Arsenal and Chelsea for Alex Song’s signature.
Manchester United have also been linked with a move for the Barcelona midfielder, who is set to leave the Nou Camp this summer.
Song is said to be surplus to requirements at the Catalan club, and according to the Daily Star, Milan are preparing an offer of around £10m for the former Arsenal man.
New Barca manager Luis Enrique has informed the Cameroon international that he is now free to leave the club.
Song struggled at the World Cup in Brazil, receiving a red card against Croatia as Cameroon were dumped out of the competition in the group-stages.
It has been reported that the 26-year-old holding midfielder has a desire to return to the Premier League, but both Arsenal and Chelsea only see the midfielder as a back-up option to Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira.
Song has struggled to cement his place in the Barca squad since his £15m arrival in 2012 from the Emirates, and new Milan head coach Filippo Inzaghi is hoping he can persuade him to move to the San Siro.
