Manchester City have outbid Manchester United in the race to signBarcelona winger Pedro, reports Sky Sports pundit Guillem Balague.
The Spanish reporter, via his official Twitter, revealed that United are yet to match Pedro's €30million buy-out clause, but that City have offered €2million over the asking price.
The World Cup and European Championship winning Spaniard is reportedly reluctant to leave the Camp Nou, but has grown tired of playing second fiddle to the likes of Neymar, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi in the Barcelona attack.
Pedro featured in 35 games in La Liga last season, netting six goals and six assists, with the majority of those appearances coming as a substitute.
The 27-year-old's form showed a downturn from the 2013/14 campaign, in which he scored 15 goals and bagged eight assists, playing in all but one of the club's 38 league games.
Pedro would likely struggle for game time if he were to opt to join Manchester City, with compatriot David Silva and £49million summer addition Raheem Sterling almost guaranteed a starting place at the Etihad.
