Costa was unavailable during the weekend during the Blues’ 1-1 draw against Southampton, with the Spain international struggling with a tendon problem.
And it seems that it will be touch-and-go in regards to Costa’s availability, with Hiddink explaining that his star striker is already in training but not yet at full fitness.
He said: “He had a little bit of a problem at the weekend, which is why he didn’t play. But he was in training today so we’ll see for tomorrow’s game.
“He scored recently in not the worst league in the world, the Premier League. He’s frequently scoring since December and January. Before, also, he had problems scoring as did the team. But let’s see and we hope he can make it on a European level as well.”
However, Hiddink has some good news with Pedro’s return from injury, with the former Barcelona star set to be included in the squad to face PSG.
“Yes, Pedro had a setback recently but did well – working hard with the physios. He made a good impression today and he will be back in the squad tomorrow,” Hiddink said.
Meanwhile, the Ligue-1 champions also welcome back star midfielder Blaise Matuidi from an injury, but Italy ace Marco Verratti will also take a late fitness test to see whether he will be available for manager Laurent Blanc tonight.
Costa, 27, has made 35 appearances in all competitions this term, scoring 14 goals.
