Chelsea respond to claims that Tuchel will succeed Conte

Chelsea have denied reports that Thomas Tuchel has been identified as a potential replacement for Antonio Conte.
Reports emerged on Wednesday morning that former Borussia Dortmund manager Tuchel will replace Conte if and when the Italian leaves Stamford Bridge.
German newspaper SportBild claimed that the German coach, without a job since leaving Dortmund in May 2017, was on a list of Conte successors.
Chelsea have no succession plan for Conte and Tuchel is not a name on their radar
But the Blues have since responded, telling a number of newspapers that no such moves have been made.
In addition to kindly letting Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph, a trusted Chelsea source, know that Tuchel is not in the picture, The Independent have also been informed.
‘Club sources have confirmed to The Independent that there is no succession plan in place for the Italian with Tuchel not a name on their radar,’ they write.

‘Only last week Conte laid out his vision for a long-term plan at Stamford Bridge, but stopped short of committing of being around to finish the job.’
