Ale, who lives in Oro, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara, is standing trial on a charge of indecent assault.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Isaac Yakubu, told the court that the father of the girl, Mr Emmanuel Ochema, reported the matter at the Divisional Police Station in Oro on July 22.
Yakubu said that the complainant accused Ale of tearing the cloth worn by his daughter and attempted to have unlawful carnal knowledge with her.
The prosecutor explained that Mrs Ope Ale, the wife of the defendant, had invited their co-tenant’s 15-year-old daughter into her apartment to assist with the food she had on the stove while she went to the market.
