Ugonwa Obiayo has been elected as Lagos State chairman, Guild of Nigerian Dancers (GOND) in an election which held last Thursday in Lagos.
Obiayo, a lawyer in her ‘thank you’ speech promised to lift up the association.
“On behalf of my new executive team, I once again thank you all for support and prayers,” she posted on her Instagram account.
“The journey is long and would be tedious, but with ours and your collective efforts and commitment, we will do our best to serve you all and the Guild to the very best of our abilities.
“We look forward to seeing all our good desires foor ourselves and the Guild come to fruition. I know I will be speaking your minds when I say that ‘with God, all things are possible.”
Others in the executive are Aima Akhazamea (Vice Chairman), Uyamasi Uzochi (Financial Secretary), Aigbi Success (Asst. Chief Whip), Justin Ezirim (Director of Special Project), Oluwasogba Tayo Sam (Asst. Dir. Of Special Duties), Olayinka Thomas Ayuba (Treasurer), Rosemary Chimezie (P.R.O) and Michael Okorie (Gen. Secretary).
