New Hapoel Akko forward, Peter Onyekachi has hailed the fantastic support of club fans on his debut which unfortunately ended in defeat.
The former Enyimba striker was in action for 90minutes against Bnei Sakhnin at the Acre Municipal Stadium but was unable to rescue his side from a 1-2 defeat.
It wasn’t the debut Onyekachi wanted but he was delighted with the amazing support shown by the home fans.
Speaking with the Nation/SportingLife, he said: “My debut was great, despite the loss our fans were so good, they never stopped supporting us.
“I was so happy with the fans of Akko, they believed in us and they never give up.”
Onyekachi and teammates will hope to make amends when they travel to face Maccabi Netanya next week Saturday.
