Striker knows of West Ham interest but is waiting for a concrete bid

Wilfried Bony is keen on talking up his future and that's not really surprising given how much he stands to earn if he makes a move to the Premier League. Wages in Holland are not comparable to what footballers receive here and Bony and his agent have spoken often this season about their will that the player leaves Vitesse as soon as possible. He's had a good time with the Dutch club and is the current Eredivisie top scorer on 27 goals for the season. Vitesse have been punching above their weight this season, which owes a lot to the management of Fred Rutten and a lot to the goals of Bony.

He's done a lengthy interview with this week's edition of Voetbal International and was asked specifically about reported interested from west Ham United, which he was happy to confirm "I know there is interest, but I have not seen any concrete bid, therefore I can't say anything else. Well, I have dreams. The German league is great, just like the French. My preference is still in England. I live to score goals and I can do that anywhere."Bony certainly sounds keen on a move to West Ham and he's confirmed interest from the club, so a summer transfer could be on the cards. Whether West Ham would want to sign him and keep Andy Carroll is another matter entirely, but if they were in for him in January then it suggests that perhaps the club may want both men, pushing others toward the exit.
