Key Responsibilities:

- Investigate any manufacturing equipment performance concerns whether related to maintenance activities, processes, associates or components.
- Carry out root cause analysis, identifying and implementing permanent improvements, engaging and motivating support as necessary to achieve objectives.
- Continuously monitor and improve performance against targeted KPI's and metrics
- Investigating and resolving any equipment reliability issues, driving changes that need to be made
- To be responsible for the generation and approval of robust documentation and specifications associated with continuous improvement projects (Change control, SOP's, Investigations, Protocols, FMEA's, Reports etc.)
- To provide 1st line support for lead maintenance engineers dealing with equipment issues
- Ensure that routine maintenance activities are effective, deliver value for money, and are completed in line with agreed plans and documented to the required standard, conforming to SOP's and GMP Requirements.
- The co-ordination of equipment maintenance activities carried out by external suppliers and contractors.
- To ensure new equipment handover packages are compiled and available within manufacturing to ensure smooth introductions and compliance in production
- To produce monthly reports on OEE metrics, monitoring and trending to identify and justify improvement areas.
- Work with maintenance engineers to create effective PPM schedules and assist with routine maintenance duties.
- When required to, participate in plant shutdowns for maintenance and to assist with shutdown works (Usually during Christmas - New Year period but can occur at other times)
- To ensure best health and safety practices are adhered to

The successful candidate will have:

- Plastic injection moulding and high speed assembly experience in a regulated industry
- Proven record of process improvement
- Ability to lead and motivate Engineering teams
- NVQ level 3 or above in Engineering discipline
- Excellent reactive attitude, analytical thinking and ability to influence others
