LASU Fee Hike: State Gov’t Says There Won’t Be Reduction on Tuition Fees

According to latest information reaching our news desk today, the Public Relation Officer (pro) of the the Lagos State University (LASU), Mr Kayode Sutton has declared that there won’t be any further reduction on the tuition fees by the Lagos State Government, saying that the state government won’t reduce the fee anymore. According to the PRO of Lagos state, who said that 30% to 60% reduction on fees is the final decision of the state government. 

The Public relations officer also said that the academic institution’s leadership has allowed two installments for the fees and also the state government is paying bursary to students all in a bid to subsidize the tuition fees and help them pay their fees. The Lagos state government PRO also went on to advised the students to pay up their fees before the official website for paying the school fee closes. 

This information is coming after the ASUU chapter of the academic institution urged the Lagos state government to further reduce the fees to N50,000 across board. What do you think? is the decision good or will the students start another strike?
