THE Nigeria University Commission (NUC) has done it again, and kudos to the team, as two fake illegal Universities has been shut down, this will go a long way in helping victims who are unaware of the scamming institutions. According to the information we received, the Evangel University of America and Clinton University Study Centre, Ojokoro were recently shut down by the National University Commission (NUC) leadership.
The Evangel University Of America, is a four bedroom flat, which is located at 2, Akinola Street, Olufemi Estate, Egan, Igando. According to the NUC officials who were accompanied by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC) and the operators of the State Security Service (SSS) arrested the one Dr. Philip Nnaji who was said to be the bursar of the fake academic institution. Dr. Nnaji said that he was not aware that the institution which was an affiliate of an American based University has no license from the appropriate agencies to operate in Nigeria as a full legal institution.
We were able to learn through our correspondent, that the academic institution has been awarding diploma, degrees and post graduate degrees in Theology for sometimes to people. We pray that more fake institutions, should be shut down in Nigeria. Long live Nigeria.
