Description:
The Lead Medical Information Manager is accountable for the Medial Resources brand/area support and scientific content deliverables. This Manager is responsible for the planning, prioritization, and execution of Medical Information-related brand/area deliverables, including scientific review of promotional materials, creation and review of scientific materials for Medical Affairs, and the creation and review of documents to address health care professional and managed market scientific questions.
Additionally, the Lead Medical Information Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Medical Information scientific deliverables supports business strategies, is aligned with Regulatory and Compliance practices, and meets the customer's needs.
Major Responsibilities:
Leadership Responsibilities
* Serve as a strategic partner on the CMT (Core Medical Team) to develop and implement the Brand Medical Plan
* Provide team leadership to MIMs, VSMs (Virtual Scientific Managers) and OSP (Outsource Partners), including:
o Managing Brand/Area deliverables to ensure completion in a timely manner
o Prioritize MIM Brand/Area workload
o Fostering strong team performance
o Co-lead the collaboration across the Brand/Area Team and customer-facing roles to support the Brand Medical Plan
o Provide communication to customer facing roles regarding scientific content in collaboration with the S/DMA (Sr. Director Medical Affairs)
o Ensure MR alignment to brand/area strategy
* Coordinate MR resources/plans at medical conferences
* Participate on the Medical Resources Extended Leadership Team
Direct Brand Support
* Participate as a strategic partner with the Brand/Area Team and Medical Affairs to ensure identification of opportunities and drive appropriate integration of MR staff
* Accountable for MR contribution to AZAP by:
o Providing strategic scientific consults on brand messages
o Reviewing promotional materials for content and accuracy
o Contribute to the prioritization of review for promotional materials
o Coordinate development , review and approval of clinical Data on File Packets to support promotional claims
* Monitor the medical environment and apply scientific expertise, integrated with regulatory and compliance knowledge, to:
o Identify, analyze, and/or report Medical and Scientific Insight and trends to Brand/Area and Medical Affairs stakeholders
o Impact brand/area strategy.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify creative and innovative approaches for leveraging scientific information to meet both business and customer needs.
* Consult with Regulatory/Labeling committee
* Consult with the US publications team to provide perspective for brand publications
Scientific Content
* Lead the development, review and maintenance of Medical Affairs scientific materials
o Identify and prioritize Medical Affairs content needs in collaboration with Medical Affairs colleagues
o Incorporate customer insight to identify, update, and develop scientific materials
o Coordinate with Medical Affairs, vendor and OSP resources to develop content
* Coordinate, create, and/or review submissions to external Drug Information Resources and Evidence-Based Practice Centers.
* Lead the compendia submission process for Medical Affairs
* Provide consultation for response to Medical Inquiries and respond to Medical Inquires during periods of high volume
Training
* Responsible for the scientific training of the Brand/Area MIMs/VSMs/OSP
* Act as a resource or provide consult to:
o Collaborate with vendors and key stakeholders to influence the content and development of training materials
o Ensure consistency amongst created training materials
o Develop internal materials to facilitate training for Brand/Area MIMs/VSMs
o Provide scientific data mentoring and coaching for Brand/Area MIMs/VSMs.
* Contribute to and/or lead Medical Affairs and MR training initiatives for relevant products.
* Responsible for the content development for brand scientific training in conjunction with Director of Medical Affairs where applicable

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
* Advanced degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred), Pharmacology, science or equivalent clinical experience
* 3-5 years experience in pharmaceutical industry based drug information delivery or equivalent industry experience with at least 1-2 years of experience working with Commercial or Brand Teams
* Demonstrated expertise in drug information communication and management
* Demonstrated expertise in the review of promotional materials
* Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
* Ability to apply FDA, legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements to Medical Affairs activities and drug information delivery
