The Supreme Court today sentenced Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt for five years imprisonment in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case, after his conviction in an arms case, as per the latest reports. Dutt has been given four weeks to surrender. Reportedly, Sanjay Dutt can file a review petition too in this time period. If he doesn't he will have to surrender before Bombay High Court. Sanjay was earlier sentenced to six years of imprisonment by a TADA court in July 2007. The apex court, as the reports say, upheld Dutt's conviction but reduced the six year jail term court to five years.
Sanjay, who is out on bail now after spending 18 months in prison, will now have to spend another three years and six months in the jail.
It is also said that the 53-year old actor won't be able to shoot for his film(s) in this period of his imprisonment.
