Rangers sack player who was duped by a hoax call

Scottish club Glasgow Rangers have today parted company with Francisco Sandaza, who was duped into saying he’d leave by a hoax call

Francisco Sandaza has had his contract terminated by Rangers after he was duped by a hoax phone call from someone claiming to be a football agent, but who was really a cabbie who supports Celtic.
The Spaniard admitted on the call that he had moved to Rangers for the money and would be open to a move away from the Scottish third division club. Rangers took serious offence to this however, viewing it as a breach of the terms of his contract.

Sandaza had been suspended pending an investigation into the incideint, but Rangers issued a statement today saying they believe “dismissal is the appropriate course of action”. and have terminated his contract.Sandaza will have the right to appeal the decision, but something tells us that he might not be too bothered given that he was jumping at any opportunity to get away from lower division Scottish football. It doesn't sound too appealing to us either if we're honest.
