Manchester United give away free away jerseys to fans in bid to turn Anfield into White Wall
Manchester United have upped the ante ahead of next week’s Europa League clash against Liverpool.
The pair were drawn against each other for an all-English tie in Europe’s 2nd tier competition, which promises plenty of sparks and fireworks.

With Anfield a notorious cauldron of noise on European nights, the United hierarchy are clearly worried that the away fans’ chanting will be drowned out. With the first leg being played at Anfield, the United hierarchy have started an initiative in a bid to generate as much noise from the away fans, of whom there will only be 2,300.
So they’re giving away free official away shirts to all the fans travelling to Merseyside, in a bid to transform Anfield into a ‘White Wall’ (sounds familiar).
It’s an interesting initiative from United; traditionally, away fans have been discouraged from wearing their shirts to this fixture, so as no to ‘incite’ or attract unnecessary attention.
