Abou Diaby believes Arsenal have everything

Arsenal's Diaby Confident Of Top Four Finish

Abou Diaby believes Arsenal have everything needed at their disposal to clinch a place in the top four of the Premier League this season.

The Gunners have endured a tumultuous week where they were dumped out of the FA Cup by Blackburn Rovers at the weekend, and are now facing elimination from the Champions League after being thumped by Bayern Munich midweek. As a result, the club and Arsene Wenger have come under more scrutiny than ever, with questions regarding the manager’s future growing louder than ever.

With the battle for a Champions League place more intense than ever, Arsenal will have to refocus in order to catch up with Tottenham Hotspur, who currently occupy the coveted fourth spot, four points ahead of the Gunners. Despite the gap, midfielder Diaby remains confident.

I'm really confident because we have everything to finish in the top four,” Diaby told Arsenal’s official website. “At the moment we are not [in there] so we need to keep going, play well and win games to make sure.

“It is really intense because there are more than four teams [going for it] - there are maybe six teams who could be in the top four. It will be a big fight and I think it will go to the end of the season.

“It is really important to stay calm because we know that when you are nervous you don't produce something good. When you’re calm you can produce something really efficient, so we must work in serenity and play our game.”

Arsenal welcome struggling Aston Villa to the Emirates on Saturday afternoon, looking to narrow the gap on Tottenham before the two sides meet in the eagerly awaited north London derby at White Hart Lane next month.
